Ross’ newest is his pride and joy, a vineyard on Kangaroo Island. He gets so excited when talking about this site. The wines I tasted from Kangaroo Island vineyard in 2005 were some of the most exciting material from the vintage. Ross is so passionate about his wines he says “I’ll continue to wear patched underpants for as long as I have to in order to put everything into these wines”.

This wine has a magenta/purple color. Nutmeg and cloves from the oak and cassis and blueberry fruit are all in great balance. The dusty leaf cabernet aroma lifts the very complex and exciting bouquet showing the signature of fresh peppercorns. Ripe and generous on the palate. This wine has great length and tight tannins and it should age extremely well. We had perfect ripening conditions resulting in superb grape quality. Grapes handpicked and freighted overnight to the winery.
