Clochemerle
From a very good vintage in the Barossa Valley, this wine was vintaged from dry-grown Grenache (54%) and Mourvedre (6%) Mourvedre, and Shiraz (40%) growing in our Draycott block. (These maturing vines average 9-17 years of age, being substantially younger than vines producing fruit for our top-flight wines.)

The three varietal components were vinified separately, and following the final blend, the wine was matured in approximately equal French and American. No new wood: 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-year-old barrels. Mainly barriques but 20% in 475L puncheons.
