This is classic Barossa Shiraz: concentrated, powerful, great palate length and softness; dense, vibrant color; ripe fruit characters reminiscent of plum, blackberry and pepper; mocha overtones; soft and harmonious yet defined tannins.
The Willows’ Shiraz vineyard is 70 years old; growing in red-brown loam soil, and typically yields 3 tonnes to the acre. The wine underwent two years’ maturation in French oak. Approximately 10% fermented in new French oak.
