Olive Hill
Rick Burge is a master blender, striving for wines of luxurious fruit and impeccable structure. With perfect weather conditions, 2004 yielded a crop of a quality that won’t be seen again for many years. The Olive Hill from 2004 is a super-rich yet stunningly elegant blend of 48% Shiraz, 30% Grenache, 12% Mourvedre, 10% Cabernet. French oak is used exclusively for this wine, of which 100% is new, and it is in this portion that the barrel fermentation occurs, to better integrate the lovely tannins these barrels impart.
