WINE PORTFOLIO
This label has certainly made many friends around the world and consequently is responsible for a swag of frequent-flyer points since it was first released in 1987.
The grapes for this wine are sourced from 40 years old vines growing in the Draycott block, east of our sales/tasting centre. Yields have dropped off over the years due mainly to age but also assisted with the odd incidence of 'dead arm'. Each year however we are blessed with quite special fruit, which is picked and vinified separately and matured in top quality French and American oak, of which roughly 30% is first-use. It's a wine of power yet finesse. Rich colour, a complex bouquet of 'berry fruits' and subtle oak combine with a rich, long-flavored palate balanced nicely with fine tannins.
