Michael and Filippo Scarpantoni are the second-generation winemakers of this family operation in McLaren Vale in South Australia. The Grateful Palate handles the Scarpantonis’ old-vine Shiraz, called Block 3; Ceres, a 100% Gamay rose; School Block, a blend of 60% Shiraz, 30% Cabernet and 10% Merlot; and the winery’s Unwooded Chardonnay.
