Greg and Allison Hobbs are making their name as growers in the Barossa, on land adjacent to Chris Ringland’s Three Rivers plot but with a different exposure and yellow podzolic soils. Ringland, advised by Trevor Jones, makes Hobbs of the Barossa’s unfined and unfiltered wines, including a Grenache and a Shiraz-Viognier blend of which only 130 cases were produced in 2004.
